(GLO) - Là miền núi, nhưng ở Tây Nguyên đường qua lại giữa các tỉnh trong khu vực không có đèo ải nào đáng kể, chỉ những cung đường từ đây xuôi về các tỉnh Duyên hải Nam Trung bộ thì phải qua một số đèo lớn, nhỏ. Do cấu tạo địa hình địa vực của dãy Trường Sơn, khu vực Bắc Tây Nguyên tập trung núi non trùng điệp, rồi thấp và bằng dần vào phía Nam nên ở đây nhiều đèo dốc hơn khu vực Nam Tây Nguyên.

Chỉ trên địa bàn 2 tỉnh Gia Lai và Kon Tum đã có đến 8 con đèo lớn nhỏ, trong khi Nam Tây Nguyên chỉ chừng nửa số ấy. Chưa có dịp trải nghiệm các đèo Nam Tây Nguyên, xin vài ghi chép nhỏ về các đèo ở Bắc Tây Nguyên.
